Crates:
Every dog should be crate trained, below are the crates I recommend because they have the partition to make the crate smaller so you will only need to buy one crate and adjust it as your puppy grows. Choose the crate that your dog will need when they’re full grown.
Every bedroom needs a comfy mattress and curtains.
Food & Water:
Everyone needs nice dishes to have that homey feeling. Choose your own dishes or pick from our favourites below. If you’re following our training program you’ll probably find that you aren’t going to need any food bowls but you’ll still need your water bowl.
Training Items:
Here are the basic items we recommend for training. Please check with your instructor to see which ones are applicable for your class. There are so many collar and leash choices out there. We strongly recommend regular flat collars and 6 foot leashes
. For small dogs we do recommend harnesses
because they have a higher chance of getting out of their collars. We do not tend to recommend harnesses for any “larger” dogs because it gives them their entire body weight to pull on you with. If you want a harness for your large dog then a harness with front and back clip rings and a double ended leash are recommended.
Entertainment
Your furry friend needs ways to keep their mind engaged while finding important resting/ calming time. Snuffle mats are a great alternative to feeding in a bowl and promotes stress reduction. Long lasting chews such as food stuffed Kongs and yak cheese are also great promoters of calmness.
